MAMHC High Point Awards Banquet - October 21, 2007

The MAMHC Awards Banquet was held at RSVP near Cincinnati, Ohio. The banquet hall was beautiful, good friends, good food, lots of awards....lots of laughs.  Gosh it is always amazing to see everyone all clean...in air conditioning, didn't have to run to a class, bathe a horse or wipe sweat off our brows.  We had fun with our 'white elephant auction'...always interesting to watch the battles for home baked goods and unique items that we all enjoy.  The business meeting with election of 2008 officers completed the day...watch for updates in the upcoming Gazette.  Thanks to Dona Neargardner for catching these 'kodak moments' too!  This year we opted for real usable awards which included items for the exhibitor like lamps, engraved MAMHC travel mugs...to items for the horse....sheets/coolers sporting an embroidered MAMHC logo and class name.  Thanks to everyone for a great turnout and great competition!  2008...here we come....

Ed Birchler started the banquet with a beautiful prayer that we would like to share:

Let us remember that God is with us and we have much to be thankful for...

We give thanks for the miniature horses that He created and we give thanks for the friendships we’ve all made.  We give thanks for the competition that motivates us all… for the opportunity to win and the joy and sense of satisfaction that it brings, but more important for the opportunity to loose because that’s a harder lesson to learn, but a lesson that instills graciousness, humility and class. Amen

A blessing indeed....Thanks Ed
